inducements were a chainsaw, wizard, 1 bribe and 2 rerolls. The chainsaw actually worked well this after being freshly sharpened and dropped injuries on Ensign #5 and the Impaler. 2 other Silverskulls also went off the pitch with KOs after getting hit by the blades. Unfortunately despite the pregame bribe the ref had seen enough and sent the offending weapon off before the end of the 1st half with the score tied 1-1. The second half was all orcs though and featured more Silverskulls leaving the pitch due to ferocious blocking and a few crowd pushes. ***That's how it goes, I guess. Spend a lot of time building up a team, then face a chainsaw who wipes it out in one game. I'm not liking LRB 5 team building. A rookie team is better off than an established one until the playoffs- unless you roll doubles most of your skills end up being dead weight, and a chainsaw negates all of them. If the bribe roll hadn't been a 1, I would be unable to field a squad next game. Which considering I'm playing Nurgle, would probably be more fun. Anyway, the game hinged on a play at the end of turn 1. The Dark Elves had stopped the Orcs from scoring and tried to get the ball downfield, but a 1 led to a fumble and an easy walk into the end zone. Starting the second half tied 1-1 and down players pretty much meant I needed to get lucky, and I didn't get lucky enough.
