Inducements were Fezglitch, a goblin who never saw the pitch, a bribe and a 50k card. 10,000 fans saw what has to be one of the strangest pre-season games in league history. The match started with a riot, which took up 2/8th of the first half. Following the kickoff, Seek and Destroy were able to march down the field with much resistance from the Totentanz side, but scored leaving only enough time on the clock after the kickoff for Hin Werfen to connect with Umfluten Fest, who ran out of gas short of the end zone. The second half began with a blitz and a sprinkler malfunction throwing the Totentanz offence plan into disarray. Through all the problems Hin Werfen was able to connect with Wallen Fest, who ran within a few feet of the end zone and handed off to Strumen Fest, who managed to slip and lose the ball. To make matters worse, Wallen fell into a pit trap and was unable to recover the ball. The Totentanz side never saw the ball again, but not for trying! “Lucky” Fest was carried off the field with what looked to be a serious injury only to recover at the hands of the apothecary. The fest littermates were at the center of the action during the entire duration of the match.
