19,000 fans turned up early to the match between Seek and Destroy and the Taumelig Totantanz to see a tearful Rit Morder unveil the bronze statue of his brother’s likeness in the team’s “gutter” zone inside the stadium. The statue is a memorial to his brother who was killed on opening day last season. The fans also greeted Totentanz newest player, Winzig, who will add size and power to the team. Totentnaz won the coin toss but kicked off to S&D, who took 6 turns to score, but the Totentanz side scored on a quick strike from rookie Lucky Fest to Umfluten Fest to tie the score and end the half. After the second half kick off, Lucky again made a quick strike, but this time to Strumen Fest, who is now the teams all time touchdown leader. Enthusiastic, rock throwing, fans knocked out a player from each side on the following kickoff and the Totentanz side battled S&D all the way down the field only to see several players hurt, including Rit Morder. With enough time left for the game wining score and only able to field 8 players, Hin Werfen threw a long bomb to his favorite receiver, Strumen Fest, only to see it intercepted, passed, run into the Totentanz end zone and fumbled into the crowd. The TT’S received the overtime kick off but Hin Werfen was not able to pick up the ball, turning it over to S&D ending the Totentanz side bid for an opening day victory.
