Dark City Silverskulls vs. Some Kind of Monsters

It was pouring rain all day as the grudge match between the Silverskulls and the Monsters got underway. The elves punched in a quick TD, but lost a lineman to a savage block. Two hobgoblins were ejected for fouling a witch elf, but no lasting damage was sustained. The Monsters drive to end the first half stalled out when a hobgoblin couldn't pick up the ball. The second half saw the Monsters march their way down field knocking down elves left and right before eventually punching in the score. The elves tried to even it up late, but a blitzer tripped going for it (double ones!) Not to be outdone, a bull centaur then was tipped over and despite the best efforts of the apothecary, the bull lost some strength (and will probably be BBQ's after the game.) OT was a crapfest. The ball got stuck in the middle of the field, then got stuck on the sidelines. An elf dodged on to the ball and forced it out of bounds (KOing himself in the process) which then led to a scrum on the opposite sidelines. There are no winners or losers in a game like this, except perhaps the fans who stayed and watched until the end. They, truly, are losers.
